2026
In 2026, we continued creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow and feel seen. Through internships, hands-on experience, learning resources and inclusive creative initiatives, we focused on opening doors, building confidence and helping young people take meaningful steps towards what comes next.
Harmony House Merchandising Internship
A Harmony House student joined our Merchandising team in February, continuing a work-experience pathway designed to give young people meaningful exposure to the workplace.
The Giving Movement Internship Programme
In 2026, interns gained hands-on experience across teams including Design, Marketing, Technology, Sustainability, Buying, Content, Merchandising, Retail, Data and CRM.
International Book Giving Day
Our annual book and teaching-materials drive returned for a second consecutive year, helping add new learning resources to the Harmony House library.
AAINA Film Festival Recognition
The inclusion film we co-produced with Al Noor received Special Recognition at the AAINA Film Festival, celebrating the creativity and talents of Al Noor students.
2025
In 2025, we created more ways for young people to learn through experience, connect with industry and grow in confidence. From internships and university collaborations to live student projects and inclusive creative work, the focus was on turning learning into real opportunities and meaningful next steps.
Harmony House Internship - Rahmat Ali
Rahmat Ali joined our Content Team as an intern and impressed the team during his time with us. When a full-time opportunity became available, he applied and was successfully appointed to the role, kick starting his career and continuing his journey with The Giving Movement.
Harmony House Diwali & Christmas
Our team continued the Little Buddies relationship through personalised Diwali cards and Christmas gifts, creating moments of connection beyond programme delivery.
RIT Dubai Student Engagements
The Giving Movement partnered with RIT Dubai’s Advertising & Public Relations students as a live client for their Campaign Management & Planning course, challenging them to develop a low-budget, full-funnel campaign to build brand awareness in the US market. Throughout the semester, our team engaged with the students at key stages, sharing real-world feedback and helping them turn classroom learning into practical campaign thinking.
Al Noor Inclusion Film
We co-produced a film with Al Noor to amplify the talents, creativity and perspectives of its students. The film went on to receive Special Recognition at the AAINA Film Festival in January 2026.
The Giving Movement Internship Programme
We believe in creating meaningful opportunities for young people to learn beyond the classroom. Through ongoing partnerships with universities including Heriot-Watt University Dubai, Middlesex University Dubai, Istituto Marangoni Dubai and DIDI, our internship programme gives students hands-on experience across The Giving Movement, helping them build practical skills and gain real-world exposure to the fashion industry.
2024
In 2024, our focus was on creating opportunities that young people could genuinely feel and grow from. Through internships, vocational support, books, sport and community partnerships, we worked to open doors, build confidence and create experiences that could stay with them beyond the moment.
Sports Equipment
During Ramadan, The Giving Movement hosted an Iftar for 24 members of the press and influencer community, turning the occasion into a gift with purpose. Instead of traditional guest gifts, we donated the proceeds to Harmony House to buy sports equipment on their behalf, supporting its new sports centre and helping create more opportunities for children to build confidence, teamwork and healthy habits through sport.
International Book Giving Day
Books and teaching materials were donated to the Harmony House library to support everyday learning.
Harmony House Shopper Bags
Foldable tote bags made by Harmony House vocational students were sold in our Dubai stores, directly supporting the vocational training programme.
Harmony House Internship
As part of our annual internship programme with Harmony House, a student joined The Giving Movement’s Finance team in Dubai for a structured internship, gaining practical workplace experience and exposure to the day-to-day workings of the business.
The Giving Movement Internship Programme
Through ongoing partnerships with universities and education institutions across the UAE, young people joined teams across The Giving Movement for practical, structured workplace experience. The programme gave students hands-on exposure to different functions across the business while helping them build confidence, practical skills and a better understanding of the fashion industry.
Kiswat Eid
New Eid clothing was provided to children from low-income families.
Wellington Performing Arts Gala
The Giving Movement supported the Wellington Performing Arts Gala, a charity concert bringing together students and teachers from seven GEMS Wellington schools to raise funds and awareness for Harmony House. TGM contributed clothing to the event’s charity raffle, with all raffle proceeds going towards Harmony House’s work supporting children and young adults in need.
Sparkle Cycle 2024
The Giving Movement joined Sparkle Cycle 2024, a 50km charity ride at Al Qudra Cycling Track in support of The Sparkle Foundation’s work with children in Malawi across education, healthcare and nutrition. Our 10-member team brought together HQ and retail colleagues alongside members of the TGM community, with TGM covering registration and bike rental costs and supporting the fundraising effort through the event.
2023
In 2023, our partnerships grew deeper, bringing together education, wellbeing, work experience and human connection. From supporting learning at Harmony House to welcoming our first Harmony House intern to Dubai, we focused on creating opportunities that could lead to meaningful and lasting change.
Harmony House Internship Programme
As part of our growing partnership with Harmony House, we welcomed our first Harmony House intern to Dubai for a structured placement across The Giving Movement. Following the internship, they successfully applied for an open full-time role in our Customer Service team, marking the start of an annual internship pathway designed to create meaningful work experience and career opportunities.
Back to School - Volunteer Emirates
Our team joined a World Humanitarian Day volunteering activity to pack school supplies for students.

2022
In 2022, we deepened our commitment to education by helping create more space for children to learn, supporting their wellbeing and building new opportunities for young people to experience the world of work. It was a year of expanding access while continuing to invest in relationships designed to grow over time.
Harmony House Expansion & Education Support
Continued support helped expand early-years and primary education, sports and wellness, vocational learning and pastoral care. A larger Early Learning Years Centre and a fourth Primary Centre created space for more children, while an in-house psychologist strengthened counselling and wellbeing support.

Our internship programme continued to create meaningful workplace opportunities for young people across The Giving Movement. This year, 11 interns gained practical experience across the business, including eight interns who are People of Determination.
2021
In The Giving Movement’s first year, education and opportunity were already part of how we chose to give. Through our early partnerships with Harmony House and Dubai Cares, we supported learning, nutrition, inclusion and practical skills, laying the foundations for relationships that would continue to grow with us.
Hope at Harmony House
Continued support helped expand early-years and primary education, sports and wellness, vocational learning and pastoral care. A larger Early Learning Years Centre and a fourth Primary Centre created space for more children, while an in-house psychologist strengthened counselling and wellbeing support.
Nutrition & Vocational Training
Harmony House centres prepared 1,500 meals a day, while Tailoring and IT vocational classes were expanded and re-certified as centres reopened.

Critical support for communities affected by crisis, conflict and displacement - alongside the direct community relief our team delivers hand to hand, every year.

2026
In 2026, we continued showing up where support was needed most. Through humanitarian relief, community volunteering, meal distributions, blood donation and direct support for families and causes across the UAE and beyond, our focus remained on practical action and meaningful care.
Gaza Refugee Relief
The Giving Movement donated over 6000 clothing items to Emirates Red Crescent in support of its humanitarian relief efforts for people displaced from Gaza. The in-kind donation included essential apparel such as T-shirts, leggings, joggers, hoodies and outerwear.
Iftar Meal Distribution
During Ramadan, The Giving Movement continued its annual Iftar meal distribution at labour camps in Al Quoz, providing meals to blue-collar workers and carrying forward a community initiative that began in 2022.
Hope Amel UAE - Community Support
On International Pay It Forward Day, colleagues purchased baby and children's essentials from the Hope Amel wishlist and came together to sort and pack them. In July, 11 team members personally delivered essentials to 16 families in need.
K9 Friends - Animal Welfare Sponsorship
An in-office sample sale raising a donation for K9 Friends, supporting the care and welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Dubai while they await permanent homes.
Blood Donation - Arenco Tower
Colleagues donated blood at an on-site donation bus at Arenco Tower, supporting the UAE's national blood supply.
2025
In 2025, we continued finding simple, direct ways to support communities facing hardship. From Ramadan meal distributions and blood donation drives to employee-led sample sales, our team turned everyday moments into opportunities to help people when they needed it most.

During Ramadan, The Giving Movement continued its annual Iftar meal distribution at labour camps in Al Quoz, providing meals to blue-collar workers and carrying forward a community initiative that began in 2022.
September Employee Sample Sale
An employee sample sale raised money for families affected by typhoons in the Philippines and monsoon flooding in Pakistan.
December Employee Sample Sale
An internal sample sale held on 12 December supported recovery efforts following Cyclone Ditwah.
Blood Donation Drives
Two company-organised blood donation drives gave colleagues the opportunity to contribute directly to local blood supplies.
2024
In 2024, our humanitarian work reached across crisis response, community support and local giving. From Gaza and Sudan to Eid, Ramadan and Christmas initiatives in the UAE, we focused on responding with care, dignity and practical support.
Gaza in Our Hearts
From January to August, our contributions supported humanitarian assistance in Gaza, including food security, healthcare, water and essential supplies.
Clothing Donation to Gaza
Clothing and footwear were donated through Emirates Red Crescent for Gaza relief.
Sudan Relief
The Giving Movement hosted an internal charity sample sale featuring product and content samples, raising money for UNICEF’s Sudan Appeal. The funds supported essential services for children affected by the conflict, including water, sanitation, education and healthcare.

Operation Blissful Christmas
Instead of holding our usual office Christmas party, The Giving Movement chose to celebrate with 100 women living in Sonapur accommodation in Muhaisnah, including cleaners, bus conductors and other essential workers. The celebration brought together meals, gifts, music and festive activities, creating a shared moment of recognition and joy for the women and our team.
Joy of Eid
As part of the Joy of Eid initiative, The Giving Movement welcomed 14 children undergoing cancer treatment to our Dubai Outlet Mall store and gifted each child a new clothing set for Eid. The initiative was designed to create a memorable retail experience while supporting children and their families during the festive season.
Majlis Al Amal Iftar
The Giving Movement supported the Majlis Al Amal charity Iftar by donating clothing from our collection for the event raffle. Proceeds from the Iftar supported female cancer patients facing financial barriers to accessing medical treatment.
DMCC blood donation drive
Our team took part in a blood donation drive supporting local blood supplies.
2023
In 2023, we responded to major humanitarian crises while continuing to support communities closer to home. Through emergency relief, meal distributions and product donations, we worked with trusted partners to turn immediate needs into meaningful action.
Turkey & Syria Earthquake Relief
We responded to the Turkey and Syria earthquakes through an employee sample sale supporting UNICEF, alongside a large-scale clothing donation through Emirates Red Crescent.
Support for Gaza
From 28 October, our contributions supported humanitarian aid in Gaza, including hot meals, food baskets and emergency shelter tents.

During Ramadan, The Giving Movement continued its annual Iftar meal distribution at labour camps in Al Quoz, providing meals to blue-collar workers and carrying forward a community initiative that began in 2022.
Buy 1, Donate 1 - FiftyMade Slides
In 2023, The Giving Movement launched its Buy 1, Donate 1 campaign for FiftyMade slides, donating a pair for every pair purchased. In total, 3,550 pairs of slides were distributed through community partners to children, women and workers across the UAE and Malawi.
2022
In 2022, our humanitarian work began to take shape through both emergency response and community giving. We supported relief efforts in Ukraine and Pakistan, launched our first Palestine charity capsule and began an annual Ramadan meal distribution tradition in Al Quoz.
Ukraine Crisis - For the Love of Humanity
The Giving Movement held an employee sample sale in response to the escalating crisis in Ukraine. The proceeds were donated to UNICEF and the World Food Programme to support emergency relief efforts for people affected by the conflict.
Pakistan Floods
The Giving Movement held an employee sample sale in response to the devastating floods in Pakistan, all proceeds were donated to UNICEF’s emergency relief efforts. The funds supported humanitarian assistance for communities affected by the disaster.
For Palestine Charity Capsule
The Giving Movement launched its first charity capsule in support of Palestine, featuring two limited-edition T-shirts under the campaign “Keep the conversation going.” All profits from the collection, totalling AED 97,455, were donated to The Big Heart Foundation to support critical hospital infrastructure in Gaza, including solar electrification for one hospital and oxygen generators for another.

During Ramadan, The Giving Movement launched its annual Iftar meal distribution initiative at a labour camp in Al Quoz, providing meals to blue-collar workers and beginning what would become a recurring community tradition.
2021
In The Giving Movement’s first year, giving was part of the brand from the very beginning. When families supported by Harmony House were affected by devastating fires, we responded with immediate relief, helping provide essential supplies and support for rebuilding.
Emergency Fire Relief
Following two fires in April 2021 in Nathupur Village and a Gurgaon community near Sector 35, The Giving Movement supported Harmony House in providing immediate relief to affected families, including water, essential supplies and materials to help with rebuilding.
Keeping it circular
Reducing waste, extending the life of every material we touch and protecting the ecosystems around us - from fabric offcuts to native Ghaf trees.

2026
In 2026, we continued finding better ways to keep products in use for longer. Through large-scale redistribution with community partners, surplus clothing and household items were given a second life while reaching people and families across the UAE.
Hope Amel UAE - Inventory Donation
We donated clothing and other surplus items for redistribution to mothers and families experiencing financial hardship, helping products stay in use while supporting communities across the UAE.
Birthday Bliss - Year-round Giving
Through our long-standing partnership with Birthday Bliss, clothing, household items and pre-loved goods were given a second life through distribution to labour communities and families across the UAE.
Gift It Forward
Through Dubai Holding's Gift It Forward initiative, surplus items were given a second life through pop-up marketplaces supporting lower-income families across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
2025
In 2025, our circular work became more hands-on and more creative. From fabric offcuts and surplus textiles to furniture, product donations and Ghaf tree planting, we looked for practical ways to reduce waste, support learning and give materials a new purpose.
Mawaheb Art Studio - Fabric Offcut Reuse
A full box of fabric offcuts from our Design Team was donated for art and self-expression, giving sample fabrics a second life.
Skills3 - Fabric Offcut Upcycling
Design Team fabric offcuts were donated to a social enterprise training women in sewing and tailoring, where the materials were repurposed through upcycling programmes.
Middlesex University Dubai - Textile Diversion
The Giving Movement donated surplus fabric rolls and samples to Middlesex University Dubai’s Fashion Programme, giving the materials a second life while supporting students with resources for hands-on learning, experimentation and creative development.
Ghaf Tree Planting
40 team members from across The Giving Movement came together at the Emirates Soil Museum in Dubai for a hands-on Ghaf tree planting experience. Each participant planted a Ghaf sapling while learning about the tree’s role in biodiversity, desert sustainability and ecosystem restoration.
Gift It Forward
Surplus items were donated to pop-up marketplaces for lower-income families across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, extending the useful life of products through redistribution.
2024
In 2024, we focused on giving more things a second life and taking practical action for the environment. From redistributing clothing to recycling waste collected from the shoreline, we continued turning everyday choices into more responsible ones.
Beach Clean-Up & Cigarette Butt Recycling
A Jumeirah Public Beach clean-up collected cigarette butts that were recycled into construction materials.
Birthday Bliss Clothing Donations
Clothing and footwear were redirected for community distribution, extending the useful life of inventory through redistribution rather than disposal.
2023
In 2023, our environmental work brought together volunteering, restoration and simple commitments that could grow over time. From beach clean-ups and mangrove planting to planting a tree for every new joiner, we encouraged our team to take part in protecting the environments around us.
Beach Clean-Up
As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, The Giving Movement returned to Al Sufouh Beach for our annual beach clean-up. The initiative brought our team together to remove litter from the shoreline while raising awareness of the role we can all play in reducing marine pollution and protecting ocean ecosystems.
Mangrove Planting - Today for Tomorrow
As part of the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, The Giving Movement joined the “Today for Tomorrow” National Day project at Al Zorah Natural Reserve in Ajman. The volunteering experience combined mangrove planting and kayaking, giving our team the opportunity to support local ecosystem restoration while learning more about the importance of mangroves to the UAE’s natural environment.
One Tree Planted - New Joiners
As part of our new joiner experience, The Giving Movement planted a tree for every new team member through the One Tree Planted platform, supporting reforestation projects around the world. By July 2023, the initiative had contributed to 800 trees planted globally.
2022
In 2022, we continued building environmental awareness through direct action. Our team came together at Jumeirah Public Beach to help care for the coastline and keep the conversation around marine pollution moving.
Beach Clean-Up
The Giving Movement team came together at Jumeirah Public Beach for a hands-on clean-up focused on removing litter from the shoreline and raising awareness of marine pollution.
2021
In The Giving Movement’s first year, environmental responsibility was already part of how we wanted to show up. Through reforestation support and hands-on shoreline clean-ups, we began with simple actions that reflected a broader commitment to protecting the planet.
